2024/2025 SVA Financial Assistance

To achieve our goal of allowing more girls the opportunity to play volleyball, the SVA Board has developed a (new) Financial Aid program for the 2024/2025 season. This ensures that any player regardless of financial situation, will have the opportunity to play volleyball.

The SVA Volleyball Financial Program details are the following:

  • For ALL Programs: SVA will reduce fees by 50%-75% of the full cost of the registration fee, if the player can provide one of the supporting documents:
    1. Letter from school district showing eligibility for free or reduced school lunch
    2. Case number for current aid/assistance from county
    3. Hardship Circumstance - please provide a brief letter with details
  • Financial Assistance can be applied to ALL SVA programs for the 2024/2025 calendar year, which includes Fall Camp, Fall League, Juniors and Prep. Only ONE application is required per season/per child September 2024-February  2025.
  • If you have multiple children in our program, please complete a separate application for each child.
  • This financial aid request is NOT applicable for summer camps/clinics through Matt Busch's summer program.

Steps to applying for Financial Aid:  Parents requesting financial aid for the program should:

  • Complete application and provide supporting documentation to the SVA Board PRIOR to the League/Juniors tryouts AND/OR the start of the SVA program you are registering for
  • If approved, you will receive a code to use during checkout of the online registration within 24-48 hours of the SVA receiving your application.
  • Complete registration for the desired program, and enter SVA code during checkout to receive the discount.

The following NOT covered by financial aid:

  • Tryout fees are the responsibility of the family (usually between $25-$50) for Fall & Juniors season. Fall camp, and Prep do NOT require tryouts.
  • A $300 check to be used as a deposit (for Juniors program only), requiring parents to work their designated DIBS shifts at a SVA Tournaments in the 2024/2025 calendar year. Once DIBS hours are completed, the $300 check is shredded. DIBS hours required are (8) for Junior’s season, and (4) for Prep season.
  • If the parents for Junior's players decline to help at the SVA Tournament, the $300 will be cashed on April 21, 2025, and used to reimburse the SVA for the hiring of tournament workers.
  • Items required for play: shoes, spandex, knee pads
